Meet Dr. Gupta

Ashish Gupta, MD, FACS, RVT, is a board certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon – dual board certified in general and vascular surgery. He offers cutting edge vascular and wound care to patients at Southern Vascular of Panama City, LLC, which has locations in Downtown Panama City, Panama City Beach, Port St. Joe, and Bonifay/Chipley, Florida.

Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in molecular genetics and received his medical degree from Morehouse/Emory Schools of Medicine. His surgical residency was completed at Case Western Reserve University System before finishing his vascular fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he also became a registered vascular technologist.

Dr. Gupta has received extensive training in various forms of endovascular/catheter vascular therapy and is a certified wound care specialist who has written numerous scientific papers as well as book chapters. He is the Medical Director of both Gulf Coast Hospital’s Wound Care Center and their hyperbaric oxygen facility. He has performed thousands of endovascular arterial/venous procedures as well as open arterial bypasses and varicose/saphenous vein therapies.

Dr. Gupta is married and the proud father of 3 children. He has been practicing vascular therapy for over 20 years.

Dr. Gupta is associated with both GCMC and Ascension /BMC area hospitals and is director of GCMC Wound/Hyperbaric center.
